On August 22 and 23, QIMA/WQS was present at Brazil Conference 2023, the main trade fair dedicated to the fruit, flower, vegetable and greens (FFLV) production chain in Brazil. With a strategically positioned stand, the global certifier had the opportunity to interact with attendees, present its comprehensive solutions and, above all, keep a close eye on the trends shaping the future of the sector.

Consumer trends and innovation

QIMA/WQS's participation in Brazil Conference 2023 allowed them to connect with key professionals from the FFLV industry, exchange knowledge and demonstrate their ongoing commitment to quality and safety solutions in the food industry. The team also had the opportunity to discuss and absorb valuable information on leadership, team management, strategic planning and overcoming obstacles through the event's dynamic program.

A highlight was the talk by Miriam Wolk, IFPA's Chief Membership Officer, who covered global information and relevant research for IFPA members in Brazil and conference participants. In addition, Rodrigo Mattos, Senior Research Analyst at Euromonitor, presented global consumer trends for 2023, providing insights on how to remain competitive and drive sales through emerging trends in the consumer landscape.

The fair featured more than 40 launches, with an emphasis on the trend of associating children's characters with fruit and vegetables, with the aim of encouraging children to eat healthily. In addition, new packaging aimed at singles and small families was introduced, as well as ready-to-eat options.

The presentation of technological products in the Startup Space and the companies specializing in traceability, certifications and audits exclusive to the sector gained even more recognition in this edition. "We were thrilled to be able to present our solutions. We are always open to new insights and the exchange of knowledge. The valuable lessons we were able to absorb during this event motivated us to further improve our practices and strategies," commented Arthur Bastos, Commercial Manager at QIMA WQS.

QIMA/WQS highlights food safety solutions

The QIMA/WQS stand in the exhibition area attracted a great deal of interest, showcasing food safety solutions and highlighting the GLOBALG.A.P. certification - a standard that attests to the quality, safety and conformity of products. Arthur Bastos emphasized the importance of this certification for the sector, stressing that it opens doors to more demanding markets, boosts efficiency and productivity, and guarantees food safety and sustainability.

As well as presenting GLOBALG.A.P. certification, QIMA/WQS also highlighted the standard's add-ons, which allow certification criteria to be customized and improved according to producers' specific needs. In the area of solutions for organic products, the certification, auditing and inspection services for agricultural and natural products were presented, with the aim of guaranteeing compliance with the strict sustainability and quality standards of organic production. "One of our objectives was to make participants aware of QIMA IBD's solutions for the organic market. Our certification, auditing and inspection services ensure strict compliance with sustainability and quality standards, enabling clients to obtain reliable organic certifications and stand out in an ever-growing market," explained Arthur.

The Brazil Conference 2023, with its program full of talks by global experts, strengthened QIMA/WQS's position as a leader in quality and safety solutions for the food industry. The certifier continues to improve its offerings to meet the ever-changing needs of conscious producers and consumers, in line with the best practices of the global market.
